R. Ajay Gnanamuthu

R. Ajay Gnanamuthu is best known Director and Screenwriter. He was born in 15 September 1988 Thrichy, Thamil Nadu, India. He completed his schooling at St. John’s High school, Bangalore and later joined loyola college, chennai. During his college days as a student of the visual communication Department he loved making a lot of short films. And he also completed a Digital Filmmaking Diploma in SAE Institute, chennai simultaneously. His career begins when he was selected to contest in the short filmmaking show. Naalaya Iyakunar season-1 in 2010wherw he finished as one of the finalists. He then joined acclaimed filmmaker AR Murugadoss and worked in Tamil films 7aum Arivu and Thuppakki. His pursuit is to be an independent filmmaker succeeded with the release of Demonte Colony in 2015 that became a box – office hit, Nominated SIIMA Award fir best film. And he directed the next movie Immaikka Nodighal, a psychological thriller movie in 2018. Ajay Gnanamuthu’s Demonte Colony does sincere attempt to scare us and seriously it is one of the well written, superbly executed horror thrillers in recent times that keep us engaged throughout its crisp running time of 116 minutes. It is very much evident that Ajay comes from Murigadoss’ school as he has perfectly done his research work to make an intelligent and intriguing horror thriller. Another appreciable thing about Ajay is that he has not compromised by adding love angle, songs or even a female lead.
